These are gorgeous. They took a long time to paint on my screen but it was well worth it. And I like the whimsical style of Jamie Oliff, too. Each artist is so different from the other yet they hold together well.

Thank you yb. I had a really tough time hanging this show because they are all so different but I finally got a combination that I liked. It’s all about how the movable walls are placed…I’m learning each and every time. Jamie’s work is indeed wonderful. He goes to the famous old Dresden Bar in Hollywood (seen in the movie Swingers) and sits at the counter and sketches the players. Then he goes home and paints. My photography is really bad on these because we were running so far behind, I had to shoot them on the walls before the lighting was even done. He actually sketches them first on canvas and them paints with only black. Whatever else your seeing is the canvas background coming through. We had a great turnout. I’ll post that when I wake up!

The painter, Shiela, Is destined for greatness, as far as I’m concerned. Were these in your gallery, H?

All the work shown here is currently in the Gallery. Shiela and I have known each other since we were 12 and I couldn’t be more proud of her. She is doing quite well on her public sculpture commissions. The Guardians, one of Sheila’s, became well know after 9/11 here on the West Coast becuase of it’s subject matter
