Oops
Somewhere along the line, I accidentally deleted a post. It showed Jamie’s progress, on the Hokusai Tsunami mural she’s working on, covering my garage…so here it is as it now stands…about 80% there. I put back the wonderful comments as well π
You get a “Wow, that is sooo cool!” out of Joseph and an “Incredibly beautiful” from me. You’ve also created a travel point for your neighbors. “We live next to; across from; two houses down from….the house with the giant wave on the garage door!” π Always can count on you – “If there’s a will, there’s a way!” And you never disappoint.

It is beautiful…you two look cute in your hats out there painting. What made you decide to have the wave face West? he he.

Stunning! I’m so happy to see the finished mural. Beautiful. I know where to find your house when I’m in the area…the one that’s waving. 8)

Painting this mural with you has been a very soothing and restorative time for me. Thank you for being there and giving me this. Love you, Jamie

OMG…it’s been wonderful. I love you for doing it and all the things you do to take care of me. I notice it all. I wish the other 2 girls could be here to see it.

Dear Heather, this is magnificent!! I don’t know what to say, it is beautiful! Do you remember our Dad’s murals? One this big on the side of the garage on Maple street, and one in the den in that same house. Now you are doing it!

that IS really cool! Is it a copy of a famous painting? Cause I swear I’ve seen it before, on a notebook at Borders or something. Really awesome though.

yes addybw…it is the famous Hokusai Tsunami (minus the boats). He was a Japanese painter who lived from the mid 1700’s to the mid 1800’s.
When I deleted the original post, I deleted the title as well!
It really is beautiful in person and I live in a quirky little old neighborhood by the Pacific Ocean so it’s perfect. It’s quite the show stopper!
Thanks for stopping by π

wow… that is awesome. If I tried that where I live I think I would get shot by an association sniper.

Jeff, I need to take another more recent photo. Jamie will finish on Saturday (I think) but it looks even better now. My 1st home had an association (why my last home doesn’t ha!). I can remember a large argument about a very messy tree I wanted removed. They wouldn’t let me. It later died of natural causes…
