Crime in my City

I’m blessed to live in a City where real crime doesn’t happen often and the “Crime Report” is a thing of wonder each week. I took a particular liking to this excerpt from the weekly paper and thought I would share it. I can just imagine the Police Officers expressions as they responded to the call…

Suspicious Person / Circumstances
6200 Block Newbury Drive. A small group of dancers, wearing neon-colored lighting affixed to black leotards, were reported ringing doorbells and spooking residence. Police were unable to locate the dancers, who turned off their costumes when residence tried to question them.

Laura Arellano is not only one of the talented Artists in our Community Gallery but she is an exceptional dancer and my dear friend. She told me she and her beautiful dancing partner were going to have a show Sunday night…so I showed up with camera in hand. The dances were erotic, the costumes exotic… and the combination…visually stunning. When the two women began their own version of the veil dance… the clouds of floating silk combined with the haunting music made a lasting memory in my mind. I promptly asked Laura to teach me this dance… 😉

In a small way this IS related to photography…and in the best way, it’s related to humor. A good buddy of mine at work sent this to me and I have been making different “Elfs” ever since. I used the 4 main Presidential candidates as my personal favorites…but beware family.

Anyway, try it out. It’s very simple to use and hilarious. Just take your own photos and you can rotate or resize them to fit the windows. I told my buddy to try his 3 dogs and cat and that one had me rolling.
